Buttons and bows

Even though the overall vibe is a somewhat schizophrenic mix of S&M and Minnie Mouse there's something very appealing about Danish designer Day Birger and Mikkelsen's leather bead and bow necklace. Of course, in my current DIY-girl mode I'm trying to decide if initial appearances are deceptive or this would be as easy to pay homage to as I think. Only time...and some scraps of leather...will tell. But I'm optimistically hopeful and picturing various feminine black-tie ensembles that could be based around this necklace...or a close approximation thereof.
