Deep in the darkest recesses of my closet resides a thick, cotton Ralph Lauren navajo cardigan that belonged to my mother...I seldom wear it, mainly because it's too bulky to wear under a coat but also because it invariably looks dated when I try to work it in with other pieces. However I just came across this picture of a girl in Paris and I'm thinking that maybe I'll give the cardigan another try.
Instead of trying to squeeze it under a coat it's going to become the coat...I know, this shouldn't be a major lightbulb moment but you know how it is? It's a sad but true fact that you have something in your wardrobe long enough and familiarity breeds contempt. | |
