I've previously bemoaned the fact that a lot of great stores either don't have decent websites or don't ship to other countries. It's a fashion nightmare...you know the clothes are there...you know you want them...you know you're willing to part with your hard-earned cash to get them...but no one will sell them to you...it's enough to make you wake up screaming in the middle of the night.
Thankfully, Liberty (one of my favorite London stores which has been in business since 1875) have updated their website; they're not fully in the 21st century yet, you understand, but they are making headway. Their rejuvenated site features pictures of some of the company's own bags and other accessories along with their prices. The idea is that if you see something you like you e-mail them, quote the image number, and a member of staff will forage around like a small woodland creature to see if they have what you want in stock. |
It doesn't seem the most efficient system, but it's a start...and a lot of the pieces that they feature are the ones I lust over in the store...most recently these leather and bead flower necklaces with ribbon ties...
I was drooling over the black and white one in the store; it was funky, it was elegant, and it would make even a ratty t-shirt look incredible (this picture doesn't do it justice...the beads are individually wrapped in tulle, which adds another level of texture and detail).
