"She knows her man, and when you rant and swear, can draw you to her with a single hair" - Persius

Generally hair...once it has left someone's head and can no longer be termed as long, luxurious, luscious, or any of the other "L" words that seems to attach to hair like bugs caught in a blast of hair spray...loses its romance.

Except, that is, when it's been braided and encapsulated in a golden heart...then the love is back (though with a certain poignancy as this is, in all probability, a piece originally used by a Victorian maiden to mourn a lost love).

did they use the hair of the person who died I suppose? sounds intriguing, but could do without the hair otherwise

I love mourning jewelry. My acorn necklace was inspired by acorns woven from hair -- acorns were a frequent mourning theme.
