I'm kind of torn over the whole jodphur thing. If I was in the UK and could nip into The Gap and get a pair for 35 pounds I'd be all over it. However, I'm not...and any options that I've seen so far in the US have either been too literal or too expensive. A good example is this vintage pair of 70's Hermes grey wool jodphurs from Vagabond NYC. They're lovely...incredible quality and detail...and, at $325, far cheaper than Balenciaga...but still way too much for a one season wonder.
